First Steps Pre-School offers a safe, secure environment where children feel included and valued, are able to develop confidence and learn well. Children are given the opportunity to initiate and extend their own learning through play and we provide a variety of opportunities to meet each child's needs, all underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We have a large spacious indoor area as well as one of the largest outdoor play areas that is utilised in most weathers. Outdoor play is integral to our daily running and we recognise the importance and benefits that outdoor play brings to each child's development and wellbeing.
As an active, non-profit charity, we aim to continue to make our pre-school genuinely accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community, without discrimination of their religious beliefs, culture, ethnic origin, gender, social class, family status, disability or special need.
